The Indiana MTA held its state discourse November 12-13.


The Indiana MTA held its state discourse November 12-13, 2004, at Butler University in Indianapolis. The conversation featured composer Phillip Glass and the "Bang upon a Can All Stars" [i]tout ensemble[/i] and performances by commissioned composer Frank Felice and American Pianists Association associates Thomas Rosenkrantz and Michael Sheppard "Chamberfest" highlighted pre-college chamber music the wholes and master classes in piano, strings and voice were propounded as a part of the Butler University Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia Young Artist Competition.

The Ohio MTA met November 4-6 in Fairborn, Ohio, for its annual conversation Gail Berenson, NCTM, MTNA vice president, existinged a plaque in honor of OMTA's 125th year of affiliation.

Scott McBride Smith, NCTM and Ohio RACE Chair Sheila Vail existinged award medals to the learners who received the highest score in each grade of the Royal American Conservatory Examinations. Six examination center from head to foot Ohio hosted 227 students.



The Wisconsin MTA awarded its Collegiate Foundation grant to Abigail Birling, a senior piano performance and music education major at Lawrence University and a scholar member of WMTA. Birling will use the grant to attend the Bay View Music Festival in Petosky, Michigan.

The East Central Division meeting at the MTNA National conversation will be Sunday, April 3 2005 5:00-6:00 PM in The Sheraton Seattle house of entertainment and Towers Suites 422-424. I trust to see you in Seattle.
