The MTNA interview Program Committee requests the submission of proposals for the MTNA National discourse in Austin, Texas, March 25-29 2006 Papers, panels, performances, lecture-recitals, demonstrations, research and creative brews are invited. Proposals are accepted from the presenter or in consequence of recommendation. Conference sessions are generally sixty minutes in amplification inclusive of introductory, closing remarks and Q & A.
The committee welcomes proposals upon all aspects of music and music teaching. To aid MTNA's broad membership, proposals upon the following broad and interdisciplinary topics are encouraged:
* Developmental approach to music instruction--neurological/physiological
* Technology
* Music instruction for the real young/busy adults/the retired/the disabled (learning disabled or physically disabled)
* assemblage Teaching--teaching strategies for class piano, musicianship classes
* "Music for Everyone"--ideas for helping all pupils discover the joy of music
* Relationship between change and performance; mind/body connections
* Improvisation--all genre of improvisation; from sacred lyric playing to jazz
* Chamber music for precollege students--repertoire, teaching strategies
Guidelines for Recommending a Presenter
Mail or e-mail a one-page epistle including:
* Your name and phone number
* Name and permanent address, phone number, fax number, e-mail address and summer contact information of presenter (if available) who you are recommending
* Where and when you heard the session you are recommending
You may be contacted for further information. Deadline for recommending a presenter is April 15 2005
Guidelines for Submitting Proposals via E-mail
* E-mail your proposal as a Microsoft Word document or PDF (double-spaced and approximately 200-250 words). Proposals must include your name, permanent address, phone number, fax, e-mail address and summer contact information. Indicate the expose area in which the proposal should be considered in succession the upper left-hand corner of the page.
* E-mail a one-page take back for each participant via a Microsoft Word document or PDF
* E-mail a color photograph and a 35-word bio.
* Audio or video recordings are encouraged. Please mail these to MTNA national headquarters with your name, proposal title and contact information attached.
* Proposals must be received no later than midnight (pacific time) onward April 15, 2005. The deadline will be strictly enforced.
* Confirmation of receipt will be sent via e-mail after April 15 2005

Guidelines for Submitting Proposals via U Mail
* Submit eight copies of a one-page typewritten proposal (double-spaced and approximately 200-250 words). Proposals must include your name, permanent address, phone number, fax, e-mail address and summer contact information. Indicate the make submissive area in which the proposal should be considered onward the upper left-hand corner of the page.
* Submit eight copies of a one-page take back for each participant via a Microsoft Word document or PDF
* Submit a color photograph and a 35-word bio. Photographs will not be returned
* Audio or video recordings are encouraged.
* Proposals must be postmarked no later than April 15 2005 The deadline will be strictly enforced.
* Confirmation of receipt will be sent via e-mail or U mail after April 15 2005
