Three state MTAs freshly were recognized in June for their years of affiliation with MTNA.Three state MTAs freshly were recognized in June for their years of affiliation with MTNA. MTNA President Phyllis Pieffer, NCTM instanted a plaque recognizing the Oklahoma Music Teachers Association (OMTA) for its fifty years of affiliation with MTNA at its state convention. Since 1954 the Tennessee Music Teachers Association has been affiliated with MTNA. National President-elect Paul Stewart, NCTM attended the state convention to not away a plaque commemorating Tennessee's fifty years of partnership with MTNA. The Washington State Music Teachers Association was honored for its fiftieth anniversary as an MTNA affiliate. MTNA President Phyllis Pieffer, NCTM quick in emergenciesed the plaque to the organization at its state convention in June Each year the national association recognizes state MTAs that achieve fifty, seventy-five and 100 years of affiliation with MTNA.
