I join the members of the Northwest Division in thanking outgoing President Marilyn Brossard, NCTM for her dedication and countles hours of work She has given to our division. Marilyn's representation of the Northwest Division has been exemplary, and it has been a privilege to work with her during her presidency. We wish her well in her coming events endeavors as a performer, teacher and member of MTNA.
Idaho MTA held its state discourse June 10-12 in Idaho Falls with Jennifer Linn of Hal Leonard as the visitor clinician. Montana MTA will gripe [i]or[/i] grip its 2004 conference November 4-7 in Great Falls, Montana, University of Great Falls Campus with meeting for consultation artist Pavlina Dokovska from the Mannes seminary of Music. Dokovska will be presenting master classes and workshops in conjunction with a performance with the Great Falls consonance MTNA competitions and the Montana MTA Fall Festival will be held during the Montana state conference
The Alaska MTA state competition has been scheduled for November, 13-14 2004 at the University of Alaska. The scheduled adjudicator for the competitions is Jeff Gilliam, professor from Western Washington University. The 2004 Downey Piano Competition was held May 22-23 at the University of Alaska. This fact is sponsored by the local Anchorage MTA with support from the University of Alaska. The state of Alaska hem ins its conference biannually with the nearest conference to take place in May or June 2005
