Ohio Music Teachers Association (OMTA) has received $1000 from the Royal American Conservatory Examinations.


Ohio Music Teachers Association (OMTA) has received $1000 from the Royal American Conservatory Examinations. The amount shows a donation to OMTA of $5 for each scholar who participated in the RACE exams in May 2004

"We are honored to be the first state to adopt this groundbreaking syllabus and assessment program," said OMTA President Amy Rose Immerman. "The support of Ohio teachers and pupils in this first year has been amazing."

RACE President Scott McBride Smith, NCTM neared the check in Immerman.

The Royal American Conservatory Examinations program put forwards thirteen levels of assessment in practical skills of repertoire, technique, etude sight reading and ear training. Theory exams are showed in preparatory theory, rudiments, harmony, music history, form and analysis and counterpoint. Nationwide exams in May 2004 were held in twenty-one center through every part of fourteen states.
