I would like to thank Karen Harrington.I would like to thank Karen Harrington, NCTM immediate past president of the division, for the marvellous job she has done leading us these past sum of two units years. I know she will continue to contribute her contagious enthusiasm and be enamoured of for MTNA in her name on the Board of Directors. I also would like to welcome Charles Jone NCTM our president-elect. As a past president of Louisiana MTA, Charles brings fine leadership skills and of the best ideas to the division. one as well as the other Arkansas and Oklahoma had their state conversations on June 4 and 5 The Arkansas talk was held in Conway, and Peggy Lewis, NCTM became the modern Arkansas state president on June 5 The Oklahoma colloquy was in Tulsa, and this year marks the seventy-fifth anniversary of its state organization and the fiftieth year of its alliance with MTNA. Mary Sallee, NCTM became Oklahoma state president forward June 5. Texas had its ninetieth annual state convention in San Antonio onward June 10-13, with Suzanne shore NCTM, presenting a workshop. Winners of state MTNA performance competitions performed with the Houston Youth Orchestra, mode of actioned by Clifton Evans. Joseph Banowitz not awayed the artist's concert on Saturday evening, and a variety, of other consequences were scattered throughout the weekend. At convention end Sherry Frush, NCTM, began her word as TMTA president. Louisiana will gripe [i]or[/i] grip its state convention October 21-22 2004 in Monroe John and Nancy Weems will current a session a master class and a recital.
