Eleven teachers received grants this year from the MTNA FOUNDATION foundation A total of $10,350 was awarded to recipients to help supply continuing education and professional progress to maturity projects. This year's grants were awarded to Sherry injure by fire [i]or[/i] heats Ohio; Kathleen Christensen, Washington; Roberta Goodman, Texas; Darlene Handa, Ohio; Cynthia Hartley, Utah; Robin Kieckhaefer, Iowa; Shandra Love-Barrientes, Virginia; Ellen McQuilken, Oregon; Zanna Noe, Indiana; Paula Oby Ohio; and Elizabeth Stavrou, Minnesota.
Teacher Enrichment Grants may be used for private application of mind college-level course work or special exhibits in performance, pedagogy, music theory and composition. The grant is not intended to be used to carry on course work toward a rank for travel funds or for ongoing exhibits However, a grant may be approved for united additional year at the discretion of the Teacher Enrichment Grant Evaluation Committee. The number of grants awarded in any year is determined by dint of the number of qualified applicants and available stocks All Teacher Enrichment Grants are provided by the agency of the MTNA FOUNDATION FUND general endowment and named endowment funds
Grant applications and guidelines for 2005 will be available September 1 2004 Applications are suitable in the MTNA national headquarters office postmarked no later than January 10 2005 and grant recipients will be announced at the 2005 MTNA National meeting for consultation in Seattle, Washington, in April. capitals are distributed no later than May 1
