Michelle Gordon, NCTM was fix uponed by the National Piano Foundation to receive the NPF Studio Festival Award. This award recognizes valuable feature [i]or[/i] trait in the implementation of the Studio Festival Program, single of MTNA's Music For Everyone Programs.
Gordon, is a private piano instructor in Mattapoisett, Massachusetts. She has studied with Eleanor Carlson at the University of Massachusetts at Dartmouth and Jose DaCosta of the novel England Conservatory. She is the immediate past president of the Massachusetts Music Teachers Association (MMTA) and president of the MMTA Local Southeastern Chapter. She annually arbiters piano students in the Syllabus Exams of the MMTA.

She has had articles published in 2003 and 2004 in the technology section of Keyboard Companion magazine and is a member of the Technology Committee of the National talk on Keyboard Pedagogy. She has currented sessions on technology at the MTNA colloquys in Salt Lake City in 2003 and Kansas City in 2004 Gordon also currented in Chicago at the 2003 National conversation on Keyboard Pedagogy. She instanted a workshop on technology in April to the Pittsburgh Piano Teachers Association.
