Many teachers of wind instruments at one as well as the other the private and university of the same heights know the value of like-instrument effects Ending a studio recital with a flute choir, trombone choir, make known choir or other piece is sport for the students and gives younger observers a chance to play nearest to and learn from more experienced individuals Quartets and sextets also are exceedingly valuable in group teaching.
This arrangement includes three moves from Grieg's Peer Gynt Suite arranged in six parts. Included are "Morning," "In the Hall of the Mountain King" and "Solveig's Song" The parrs clearly are divided into an upper three that contain the dimensions of the melodic material and a lower three consisting mainly of sustained chords and repeated patterns. All six parts are playable by way of an average high school scholar with limited range and self-same simple technical and rhythmic demands. The top three parts are written above the staff solely for short passages, but not above G. The sixth part is repeatedly the most difficult, with sustained passages in the gentle register and an exposed solo passage in the secondary movement, "In the Hall of the Mountain King," that starts in succession low G. This piece could be performed either as a sextet with undivided per part or with parts doubled in a larger ensemble
This arrangement should appeal to observers and audiences alike, with its familiar melodies and tonal, folk-like name The simplicity of the arrangements will make it easy to offer together in one or brace rehearsals as well. For body ensembles, the arrangement could advance as a light opener or closer to a program that will at liberty rehearsal time for more difficult selections.
