At the annual business meeting.At the annual business meeting, the MTNA Board of Directors is proposing an amendment to Article V Section 5 regarding the vacancies onward the national Board of Directors and division officers. The project of the amendment is to provide a means for filling a vacant Board of Directors or division office when there is insufficient time to selected a replacement. The current bylaws do not address so a situation. The Bylaw popularly reads: Article V Officers Section 5 National and Division Vacancies and Removal a. A vacancy in any national office, reject that of National President, shall be filled for the unexpired bourn by a plurality vote by means of ballot of the general membership. A National President-elect choiceed in this manner cannot assume the office of National President unles selecteded to the office in the same manner as the other officers. A vacancy in any Division office, object that of Division President, shall be filled for the unexpired boundary by a plurality vote at ballot of the Division membership. A Division President-elect pickeded in this manner cannot assume the office of Division President unles fix uponed to the office in the same manner as the other officers. The propos changes are underlined: Article V Officers Section 5 National and Division Vacancies and Removal a. A vacancy in any national office, with the exception of that of National President, shall be filled for the unexpired bound by a plurality vote through ballot of the general membership. Should said vacancy present itself without sufficient time to hem in a national election, the President, with the approval of the Board, shall appoint a human frame to complete the unexpired boundary A National President-elect selected in this manner cannot assume the office of National President unles prefered to the office in the same manner as the other officers. A vacancy in any Division office, with the exception of that of Division President, shall be filled for the unexpired boundary by a plurality vote by means of ballot of the Division membership. Should said vacancy be found without sufficient time to grasp a national election, the President. with the approval of the Board, shall appoint a human frame to complete the unexpired name A Division President-elect selected in this manner cannot assume the office of Division President unles picked to the office in the same manner as the other officers.
