MTNA has partnered with the Performing Arts Medicine Association (PAMA) and the Texas Center for Music and Medicine at the University of North Texas to unfold health education materials specifically for National Association of academys of Music (NASM) students.

The intend is in response to strange NASM guidelines that direct member academys to educate all music scholars about health issues associated with music. Grants will stock research by medical and science skilfuls in the areas of neuromusculoskeletal, mental and vocal health. The information from these studies will be at handed during an interactive conference in Fort Worth, Texas, this fall. MTNA Vice President Gall Berenson, NCTM will exhibit MTNA at this conference. Materials then will be available. Using public health methodologies and field-testing, further revisions will be made and then the materials will be distributed to all NASM trains for use with students.
