The Americans for the Arts and the National Assembly of State Arts Agencies will possess their second joint convention July 17-20 2004 in Washington, DC at the Omni Shoreham Hotel

During Participate 2004 attendees will arise together and learn from each other in the creation of a national action agenda, detailing in what way organizations can affect individuals in consequence of the arts and increase their community engagement.

The convention will include several breakout sessions covering like topics as civic engagement in politics and community service; civic engagement in bridging differences, building tolerance and creating connections among communities; neighborhood livability/infrastructure; community economic development; lifelong learning; and philanthropy and funding of the arts. Participants also will travel to undivided of ten neighboring communities completely through the area to experience the impact the arts have onward the community.

Americans for the Arts, with offices in Washington and modern York, is the nation's leading nonprofit organization for advancing the arts in America. Established in 1996 it has more than 5000 organizational and individual members across the country



The National Assembly of State Arts Agencies (NASAA) is the membership organization serving the nation's fifty states and six jurisdictional arts agencies.
