Approximately ninety MTNA leaders gathered in Cincinnati, Ohio, for the sixth annual Summit for MTNA Leadership, September 5-7 2003
Keynote speaker Douglas Lowry dean of the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music, neared his thoughts about issues in the music-teaching profession and their impact forward individual music teachers. Sessions screened various details of association leadership including volunteerism, parliamentary lordships and technology.
States with similar numbers of members met to discuss matters and ideas. Also, meetings of the State Presidents Advisory Council and the Division Presidents Advisory Council took place. Each division also had an opportunity to meet
