MTNA member Gayle Kowalchyk received the 2003 Achievement in Music Award from the Board of Directors of the Society of Alumni and Friends of the Ohio University teach of Music in honor of her outstanding contributions in music.


MTNA member Gayle Kowalchyk received the 2003 Achievement in Music Award from the Board of Directors of the Society of Alumni and Friends of the Ohio University teach of Music in honor of her outstanding contributions in music.

Kowalchyk, a observes Angeles, California, resident, is senior keyboard editor for Alfred Publishing Company. She formerly was onward the piano faculties of Eastern Illinois University, Charleston; Oklahoma Baptist University, Shawnee; and the University of Oklahoma, Norman. She also is the author of educational piano solo and, with her husband E L Lancaster, has co-authored more than 100 educational piano main division s including Music for Little Mozarts.

Kowalchyk earned a BM quality from Ohio University, an MM station from Northwestern University and a doctor of education class from Teachers College, Columbia University.
